Canadian Ski Vacations

If you are looking for a great place to ski then think Canada! There are so many skiing options in Canada that is has flourished in popularity. The one thing that you will never have to worry about when selecting Canada as your skiing destination is whether or not you will have a good selection. On both the west and the east coasts there is more than sufficient skiing for any type of skier. Rarely do the Canadians have to pull out the artificial snow makers because of the ample amount of natural snow but never fear, there will always be enough snow. Canadian ski resorts are also very well kept and there are so many breathtaking ski resorts (almost as good as these top resorts) that offer miles upon miles of skiing piste regardless of your expertise.

Especially on the western coast of Canada the skiing is superb because there is always snow and very little rain. The east coast skiing is very good but can not always promise the best snow quality. Whistler, Fernie, Banff, Lake Louise, Mont Tremblant, Big White, and Red Mountain are the leading ski resorts in Canada and also the best recognized. Each is unique in its own way and offers something different to all skiers. There are even things to do at the ski resorts if you are not a skier. Many times you can set up a ski vacation package with various travel agencies and save a considerable amount of money in doing so.

It is no wonder that so many skiers are drawn to Canada for their skiing adventure. The perfect conditions here make it ideal for skiing, the snow conditions are excellent, the runs are precisely groomed, there are spacious pistes, and powdery snow combined make it a skiers paradise. Besides the perfect skiing conditions you might want to consider the scenery as well which is breathtaking to say the least. It has been said that skiers can save some money by taking their ski trips to Canada as they are considerably cheaper than in the US states.

The première ski destination in Canada is Whistler which is actually the number one ski resort located in all of North America. The location of Whistler is not far from Vancouver and hosts magnificent mountaintops. Multi person gondolas capture skiers that are eager to get to the slopes and drop them off. Located in the southwestern side of BC you will find Fernie which is near Calgary. Fernie is widely recognized for having excellent skiing conditions. In the center of the Canadian Rocky Mountains you will discover Banff which promises to offer you a memorable skiing trip. Banff caters to all levels of skiing from the beginning novice to the most skilled skier. The scenery is spectacular and offers breathtaking slopes.

Not too far from Calgary International Airport but also in the Canadian Rockies lies Lake Louise, again, another Canadian premier skiing destination with exceptional skiing accommodations. There is more area to ski on at Lake Louise than anywhere else in Canada. Lake Louise proudly claims over 4000 acres to ski on, state of the art lifts and extraordinary mountain top cafes.
